One Way Street Ministries is a cutting edge ministry that gets involved in the community by ministering on the streets and in the homeless camps. Jericho's Light Club has blossomed from offering a non-alcoholic night club to a full scale non-traditional, non-intimidating church. We offer solutions, support, and help for the downtrodden, such as: 1.) Freedom from various addictions 2.) Job counseling and life skills readiness 3.) Family and individual counseling 4.) Spiritual training and support 5.) Financial training 6.) Acceptance and love in a challenging world 7.) Warm meals. Jericho's is a common gathering place for individuals and Christians to minister love to those who need a personal touch of caring and mercy. Lives are changed through the outpouring of love and grace, and through the building of relationships. We believe that as Jesus socialized with the tax collectors and sinners, it was His unconditional love that drew them to Him.
We are a mission field to the suburban church where the saints can use their gifts to do the work of ministry. We do not believe in reinventing the wheel. That's why we partner with many churches, ministries, and other groups who believe in bringing people together to accomplish what needs to be done.
Communities are working together to staff a women's sober house, as well as a 24 hour on-call crisis center (for human trafficking, battered women, or someone who has just made a decision to follow Christ). We can get them the help they need to change and not go back into their old enviroment. We have seen over 300 people ask Jesus to come into their hearts and take control of their lives; many homeless get off the streets and into housing; addicts and alcoholics get treatment; prostitutes get off the street and into counseling, and people get delivered and set free from oppression.
